Computer simulation imaging is not only a useful tool to demonstrate the expected results, but also to make sure that the surgeon and patient have the same goals in mind. Dr. Starkman does not rush the process and places an extraordinary emphasis on the pre-operative discussions. Additional seating is provided in the room, as patients are encouraged to bring family and friends with them. Our Office
Starkman Facial Plastic & Laser Surgery, founded by double board-certified facial plastic surgeon Sidney J. Starkman, is a brand new, state-of-the-art facility that features a fully equipped on-site operating room. Every focus has been made to provide patient privacy, including a side entrance for post-operative patients who desire a discrete method of entering and exiting the office without waiting in the reception area.
All of our surgeries and minor procedures are performed in our state-of-the-art operating room. The patient rooms are furnished with guest chairs, and we encourage our patients to bring along a friend or family member. Patients and visitors to Dr. Starkman’s surgical center will feel at ease and assured in our reception area with its sophisticated, traditional décor. If any wait time is necessary, comfortable couches and chairs are available, as well as a refreshments station, reading material, and skin care product displays to browse.

The plastic surgery office of Dr. Sidney Starkman features two examination rooms where Dr. Starkman will see patients as part of their initial consultation, followups, and minor treatments such as injectables. In the examination room, our nurses will assist with collecting past medical history, followup notes, and any specific concerns that will be addressed with Dr. Starkman. It is in these rooms, where post-surgical dressings are removed and patients are able to witness the results of their procedures for the first time.

Surgery
Our surgical suite is the space where Dr. Starkman performs all of his facial plastic surgery procedures, on site within the office. The surgery area meets and exceeds the highest levels of safety standards for our patients, with a pre-operative bay, nurse’s station, recovery area, and sterilization rooms.
We offer a single-surgeon, single-subspecialty AAAHC-accredited surgery center, assuring privacy and exceptional safety. This center offers the same safety measures of a hospital with the individual care of a private surgery center. As a result, we have an outstanding safety record for all our patients. Unlike any hospital or surgery center, our surgical facility utilizes staff and equipment specialized only for facial plastic surgery procedures. Board-certified anesthesiologists are available for procedures using sedation.
We exclusively use General IV anesthesia, for a quicker and more comfortable recovery following surgery. The on-location surgery center offers patients a discrete and specialized setting for their procedures.
